NATIONAL PARK CAMPING

Most National Parks have changed the rules. To stay overnight in a camper, you must have a certified self contained camper to "take out what you take in." We are very proud that every Northstar meets National Park Criteria and certification is available from the CMCA. A waste water tank and a minimum of a porta potti storage or cassette toilet is standard on every Northstar.

WHY DO WE HAVE A LOW DOOR ON OUR POPTOP CAMPERS?

This is a very commonly asked question. For a pop top camper to be used successfully as a freestanding camper, it requires that the top of the doorway be braced. Without the top brace, or an "add in" doortop being used, there is a serious risk of the floor not having enough support when the campers are used in the freestanding position, A Northstar is incredibly strong without risk or fear of the solid ply and bearer floor failing ( some use a particle board floor) Always check the strength of the floor when the camper is freestanding. A Northstar does not require any boxes, bricks, sawhorses or other aids to support the floor when being used off the vehicle. (This is after all, the purpose of a slide on camper). we have developed a balance of weight versus strength. The never ending quest to build lighter has consequences. We believe that we have built the lightest camper that can withstand harsh and rugged treatment. Any lighter, and we risk the reputation of strength that Northstar is renowned for.

FITTING SERVICE

We provide a full fitting service giving you the piece of mind that your Camper has been professionally fitted with your choice of panel mounts or The optional heavy duty under body mounting kit.

Our turnbuckle system with the unique sprung turnbuckles allow your chassis To move and twist when off roading (or going over a speed hump) without Risking damage to your camper or vehicle. We strongly advise against solid Chains and turnbuckles without a heavy duty sprung mount.
